In Cirebon Indonesia, there are crackers that are common in rural areas. To be interesting given a variety of colors.

These crackers are made from tapioca flour, salt, and garlic, and have a savory and very crispy taste.

Historically, the name of Melarat is Poor. Many hundreds year ago, people in Cirebon, fried them using sand,not oil, because they could not afford it to buy an oil.

Theses cracker had been known during Dutch colonisation in Indonesian around 1920 and it was very popular for alternative culinary in Cirebon.
